Statistics: Russia’s inflation speeds up to 0.11% in Nov 15–Mon

MOSCOW, Nov 23 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 0.11% in the week from November 15 through Monday from 0.06% in the previous week, and reached 10.86% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said on Wednesday.

The prices for fruit and vegetables grew by 2.7% on average. The price for cucumbers grew by 11.3%, for tomatoes by 4.1%, for beets by 2.5%, bananas by 0.9%, carrots by 0.5%, apples by 0.2% and potatoes by 0.1%. At the same time, the price for onions decreased by 0.6% and cabbage by 0.5%.

The prices for buckwheat fell by 1.32%, for sugar by 0.95%, and for margarine 0.59% and sunflower oil by 0.39%. But the cooked sausage price rose 0.55%, milk 0.4%, meat preserves for children and eggs 0.3%.

The gasoline prices grew by 0.1%, while the diesel fuel prices increased 0.9%.
